Assalamu alaikum,

I am not certain that the all items listed by brother London are necessarily causes of the downfall of the ummah. I believe most of them are manifestation of the downfall - i.e. the downfall is known and can be seen by the items listed. They are the downfall. The root cause(s) is (are) more fundamental and fewer. I would say the root cause is weakness of imaan in akhirah and love of the world. Just my opinion. There are many ways to look at this.
