We need to laugh at our selves.
This is what I wrote in Jail khana about Mis lorlie about not shaking hands. I said if she agrees to marriage, I will shake her hand also some sister can give her a hug to make her feel loved. Perhaps she was feeling lonely and taking out her fraustraiton here!!

When Asif Zardari went to US during the US election time that ultimately brought Obama to the high office there was an occasion when Zardari met Sarah Palin. At the photo opportunity a journalist asked him to keep shaking hand till he gets his shot. This Zardari did but he also added that he is ready to hug also. Of course in Urdu. Now this kind of thing can be classified as laughing at ourselves but this is also the precise point where we are stepping out of Islam. (Zardari had stepped out a little earlier by shaking hands with a non-mahram.) It will smell of pedantic attitude but still assert it that Allah(SWT) does not like deviation/straying away/crookedness even in the least bit and we'll do well by avoiding laughing. I'll end by giving a personal example. I have this fascination for spreading cheerfulness all around me. Spreading a laugh around me will be the route to that. But a small event yesterday killed my mood for twenty four hours. That is the reality of life. In reality it is Allah(SWT) who is ever so close to us who punctures our inflated balloon. And as our elders have told us that all of His actions are in our favour whether we like it or not.

On the subject of Miss Lorlei-I lost interest in communication with her when she revealed that she does not believe that there is a God. Basically Allah(SWT)'s has said that as far as disbelievers are concerned it is the same whether you call them to Islam or not-they will not believe. The next step, of course, is Surah Kafiroon where we instructed to part ways with them with clear but amicable words. This is usually the feeling I get when a disbeliever comes to SF-I have zero motivation to engage him or her. Some d'ayees, whom I know, insist that we should keep trying on these people but I do not understand the wisdom in that.
