I think the point is that if, for example, Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani had donated to a masjid and they had put up a sign in the mihrab saying "this mihrab is a gift to such-and-such masjid by Shaykh abdul qadir jilani", the salafis would have a field day shouting about how "bidati sufis" pray to the name of their shaykh or some other nonsense. These are also the same salafis who object to hanging up the glorious name of Muhammad

in houses and masajid because it's "bida" and can lead to "shirk". But when it's their beloved criminals from the house of Saud, they will come up with 1,000 excuses.
