I was thinking since Jinns are known for moving heavy objects, do you think its possible that they can move objects so big like continental plates? which could explain how they could move the earth thus causing earthquakes?

I don't think a small creation like Jinn is capable of that. Rather its Allah

's Power that manifests in such natural phenomenon such as earthquakes and storms.
