Nothing has changed. The hindus still burn when they see a Muslim carrying a british or western passport. They purposely cause many problems to Muslims.

This attitude of the muslims towards hindus is the reason why they were kicked out in the first place. More than 850 years rule of muslims in India but there was no concentrated effort towards Dawah to the Hindus.

A few rare examples of Dawah to hindus can be seen in the life of Early sufis like Hadrat Moinuddin Chisti RA [Whom even the Hindus revere].

This issue has been highlighted by Mufti Saeed Khan [D.B]. He says that Islam needs new blood to flourish. (There is a book by Shaykh Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi on this topic aptly titled Naya Khoon - New Blood).

He gave examples of how islam flourished through this infusion of new blood. From Arabs to Persians to Mongols to Turks etc. What potential these Hindus have was realized by Mufti Kifayatullah Dehlavi [RA]. He started travels to all parts of India. He used to eat with these Hindus that to in there plates. He used to drink from the same vessel which the Hindu drank from.

This action of Mufti Sahab impressed the masses. Assessing the outcome and impact of Mufti sahab's efforts, Gandhi arose and he started travels to all the places Mufti Sahab visited. But the learned Muslims were busy in seeking a different State. Mufti Sahab's effort did not materialise as envisioned

so much for now.
