Assalamu Alaikum, If you all read nomadic's reply calmly you will understand that he is just being sarcastic, SubhanAllah, go read his comments again and figure out for yourself and then check your comments about him.

There is no harm in doing Miswak but we should not do it in a way that it looks bad specially in public places. Miswak is a beautiful Sunnah and we should try to implement it by finding out at what times our beloved RasoolAllah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam did miswak and try to emulate it.

I remember once I was in the Masjid and a lady was talking to someone and doing Miswak at the same time which did not look very nice. There are times and places for doing things and when things are done in the right way no one will think we are weird.
