why do people always say tehre is 2 main aqeedahs, why do they always leave out athari aqeedah?
Well, if you ask many atharis, they'll say they're the firqah naajiyah, so it goes both ways.
There is only one righteous discipline of aqeedah, that is followed by

(I only list those whose I have statements, otherwise It would be too long. This list has Kibar (Great) Imam of Imams of Sufiyyat, so no one can say Sufiyyah has different school of thought regarding to Aqaeed )

Maturidiyyah and Asha`riyya isn't the discipline of aqaid, it is a Greek philosophy to refute the followers of Greek.

The Greek philosophy which now has been refuted by its daughter, the Great Science. The science itself is a variant thing, we currently have several evidences that the great theory of 20th century the theory of relativity is going to abolish. And much of modern physics is about to go into upheaval.

So this the story of Science, and Greek Philosophy is much more baseless than science.

The Greek Philosopher who didn’t know how to “count” the woman teeth, therefore to do so they postulated a new theory for that.

Greek terminologies like “Place”, “Time”, “Direction”, “Matter”, “Volume”,……….. Has been heavily rectified, or sometime almost entirely change by our current knowledge, HOW CAN WE PLEACE THESE FIGMENTS OF MIND (which now has been proved wrong) OVER THE GREAT QURAN AND HADITH.

Read the story of The blind Men and the Elephant, If we can't handle His creations with our intellect then how can we think about postulating the theories of Attributes of Allah over the Quran wa Hadith.
