The moment you apply for a job, it includes certain mode of dressing (officially and unofficialy). I personally would fire someone if one insist on wearing non unofficial dress. If they don't like it, they can find another job. It has nothing to do with sunnah but the contract employers signs. i recall my fathers disslike of some over zealot relegious muslim and is founded on their moronic notion of acceptablity. This officer in the merchent decided to dawn a thoab when there is a clear cut rule of navy outfit.
