You should have said it like this 'the more you study, more you realised how little one knows and as such becomes a seeker of knowledge untill he reaches the grave'. It is not surprising why Sahaba (RAD) used to direct querries to one another instead of answering it by themselves. In their character lies a true humble servent and a truee sincere seeker. Unlike people of today who rush to answer and claim to know all after mere glimps of the text.
While I agree that knowledge should humble a person and definitely the more you know the more you realise you dont know, but those points would have been irrelavant to this thread so thats why I didnt say it.

What is relevant, is that many people claim to be upon the haqh, and all groups have ulema, so a confused person will not know whether to learn from deobandis or salafis or sufis or shia etc. So saying that he must blindly follow a scholar is not much of a solution. If you look at his post, he is confused and sincere in searching for teh haqh. The salaf would advise that in fitnah, knwoledge will make things become clear, and so I advised him that when he seeks knowledge, the issues will become clearer to him. The more he knows about teh science of hadeeth, inshallah the clearer it will be who is correct and who is not and then he can decide which ulema to follow. For example, I myself know very little about deobandi use of weak hadeeth and why they insist on acting upon them while rejecting saheeh hadeeth in aqeedah. The only way for me to find out is to first learn the universal basics of hadeeth science and then look at the salafi position and deo position and see which one makes more sense
