2. He does not believes in taqleed--he says that i am a "partial muqallid"--i dont do taqleed of any one particular imam but i do keep myself within the 4 bmadhahibs and the madh-hab of imam bukhari. He endorsed the tqleed 4 the laymen but encoureaged the ulama to not to do the latter.

This view is ofcourse contrary to the beliefs of our ulama.

Following this phantom madhab of Imam Bukhari (ra) is a common sign of Ahl-e-Hadith, no? I guess he is on the same logic spectrum in which Salafism is at one end, and Modernism on another. Maududi is on there too, I think Dr. Israr just takes positions closer to normal Ulema more often than Maududi. So is he like a rogue Sunni-Salafi hybrid?
