Let's stop arguing about Gaddafi. Some scholars gave him benefit of a doubt that he may have made tawwbah some time before his death. Since we don't know the details, let's just bury the issue, and not get ourselves implicated by the fitna.

Gaddafi did some good policies for his country but he also killed many of his political opponents, often without trials.

The corpses of Gaddafi, his son and his former defence minister are rotting in the supermarket freezer since people keep coming in and the temperature is not cold enough to prevent the bodies from rotting. Now the visitors have to wear surgical masks because of the strong stench. I'm hoping that our brothers in Libya would follow the sunnah of the Prophet and let the bodies to be respected and laid to rest.

The issue shouldn't be buried because something is seriously wrong when you find people who call themselves Muslims behaving like those people were/are behaving in Libya. When you find Muslims easily being labeled unbelievers and the fitna that results from it, something is seriously wrong. َAnd what sunna says that a body is supposed to be laid out days with flies over it for people to come and do whatever they do over it? What kind of picture of Islam is this sending to the world? إنا لله و إنا إليه راجعون
