Giving the example of Green dot is not the good example because vegetarian do not restick alcohol, if flavor present in green dot containg food product, alcohol can beused as a solvent in flavor.

The best protection from alcohol is not to consume food made with flavor and vanilla extract (Vanilla Extract contains 35% alcohol). For personal care products unsecented or fragrance free is the solution to avoid alcohol.
