Ya Rifa'i, we do have usul, you know Imam Abu Hanifah's opinion takes precedence, due to his reasoning falling in line with usul as well as the dala'il being sound. It's not just Indians, it is the mu'tamad of the madh-hab by all accounts. That being said, the opinion of the Sahibayn was not weak, and can be followed, especially if it means catching jama'ah. Thus, in Arab lands where there are others apart from Hanafis, the 'ulama' allow people to follow the sahibayn. They don't differ regarding the mu'tamad, though. As you know, the mufta bihi is dependant on more than just what is mu'tamad. was-salam
