I'd like better understand some basic concepts before I ask further questions (incase I misunderstand!)

In particular:

-what is sin
-how do you obtain forgiveness
-what does salvation mean in Islam
-how do Muslims establish a communition with God


I am also interested to know your personal testimony on how you became a Muslim.
