Walikum Salam Wr Wb,

I also prefer Allah (swt) but since my audience is all, so i often use God. However, please differ between god and God.

The god with small 'g' is a thing which is worshiped, money can be a god, music can be god, trees, stones and suns can be god and there are many fictional gods.

However, God with capitol 'G' means the supreme deity which created heavens and earth and no one is supreme than it. It means, Allah (swt).

So, La ilah il Allah means No god but God

Or it means, There is nothing to be worshiped except supreme deity.
