Starting of puberty for girls at the age if 9 years is normal. Normal standard is anywhere from as early as 9 years to as late as 16 years. There is term 'Precocious Puberty' is used for girls whose puberty start earlier than normal. The standard for this is 8 years and below. Modern Medicine accepts the starting of puberty from age of 9 as normal.
