brother i celebrate millad every week but it is normally larger on that day because it is main day, brother if you have a problem of it being on a particular day do it on anyday i will come also that is not the point.

did the sahabah or the tabieen forbid this act?
To specify a particular day when we are not even sure if the day is correct is something that is imitating non-believers who like to celebrate birthdays annually. Rasoolullah "celebrated" his birthday every Monday by fasting. People who go to these Milaad celebrations celebrate it on 1 day a year (like Christians celebrate Christmas one day a year) and fasting? People stuff their faces with sweets and samosas! There should be no extra reverence given to a day that we are unsure of. Also, people who do not attend milaad are looked down upon, as if they hate Rasoolullah when it is closer to his sunnah to not do a milaad celebration.
