Default Mehman Nawazi - What are the best ways of serving guest - food and etiquettes?
Assalamu Alaikum,

When you have guests over, how should you treat them? I guess it depends on who it is first - family, friends, colleagues etc. And also what time they come, and what background they are so what food preferences they have.

So, what should one serve? Chai and biskut? or more?

And if they need the washroom, should you tell them where it is or lead them there?

If they have kids, should you send their kids with yours to another room to play or keep them in the same room - like the living room?

If it's close to lunch and dinner, and you haven't cooked, and you offer them to stay and they accept, then how do you leave them to cook, without embarrassing them. And there's no one at home to keep them company, and you can't order food from outside. Do you take them to the kitchen with you?

If they need to pray, should you bring a jaynamaz and set it in the same room, or in one of the bedrooms?

Oh, lots more questions. These are some general etiquettes but I don't know what is best.

Please help.
