Yes, if the testimoniance is reliable, why not?
We Hanafis don't have problem with global sighting, so it doesn't matter where the moon is sighted, on the condition that it's not astronomically/scientifically impossible to see it in that particular place and time..
Well according to the map, the new moon will be easily visible tonight in South-America, so even if Saudi claims to have seen the moon, we can follow the sightings in South America.

But I wonder if according to wifaqululama.co.uk this would be correct. Those who follow wifaq do not know who those "reliable testimonies" in South Africa are and how the news was verified, but still follow them.

Anyone from South-America here?
