I'm praying that you're all in good health inshaAllah. Could anyone please explain taqqiyah in Islam?

Taqqiyah refers to when you're able to deny being a Muslim if admitting so would result in death or serious injuries. For example, during the Inquisition it would have been permissible for Muslims to deny that they were Muslims given that the Christians were rounding up Jews and Muslims to slaughter.

Don't believe any of the nonsense you hear from the Robert Spencerites out there. They're insane fundamentalist Christians that will lie through their teeth in order to get you to leave Islam. Many of them, even when confronted with facts, will simply go about in ignorance.
