Asslamo Allaikum,

Shaykh Salim Al-Amri not only doesn't follow any Madhab but is also a champion of Salafee Aqeedah.

He is considered one of the Authorities on Salafi Aqeedah, many Western Muslims who in turn propagate Salafi Aqeedah are his stuents.

I don't know about him "personally" but we should have the best of thoughts for any Shaykh. He believes in a certain thing and he teaches and propagates it so we should avoid what we disagree with but still have the best of thoughts for him as a "Muslim", Insha'Allah.
