Salam All,

On Monday night my uncle called from the Hijaz and stated he can see the moon himself, and my friend who is an arab from the Sham called abroad to get a confirmation of sightings (but not sure from where) and he came back to confirm news of sighting.

So can we stop all the speculations!

As for the article it will apeal to some people who followed their local mosques and fasted on Eid, but either way it sounds so spurious from an unknown source.

Finally the calculations of moonsighting.com and any others mean nothing, specifically from the shari'ah point of view - and also from a certainty point of view as I have seen them make mistakes in the past.
