Br. Sufi_Taliban, it may be better to leave off all the details you have mentioned about the bookstore, as that was your own personal experience, and it doesn't really affect the buying of every buyer as not everyone is going to face the situation you face; buyers would just go in, pick their books, and come out, and not go through the tiring discussions that you went through. Moreover, it's not like the brother is out there to 'get every buyer' and 'convert them' to a different manhaj.

So it may be better that you do not disclose your personal experience in public like this; especially the name calling can be considered as back biting, and you may be held accountable for this on the day of judgment; also, it is also possible that the brother has repented from any errors.

Jazaakumullaahu khairan.
Walikum salam wr wb.

I suppose you did not read my message properly, or might have misunderstood something.

" i asked him for Hanafi books and he told me Hanafis dont read books"

I believe asking for a particular book section in a big bookstore is very normal practice. And If the above mentioned statement is not surreal insulting and proselytizing then i don't know what is? Maybe you have a higher threshold for insults, certainly not a common layman like myself. And the man is precisely out there to get people to abandon Madhabs and become Pseudo scholars by reading a single book. Unless of course you think asking for the Hanafi section in an Islamic bookstore is an effort to aggravate the bookstore owner which resulted in all this drama. I thought it would be very clear to anyone as to why i suggested not going there.

Wa Salam
