a lot of salafis blasted the shaykhs that signed that pledge like yasir qadhi etc for uniting with 'ahlul bidah'

but a lot of salafi shaykhs on that pledge are associated with al-maghrib al kawthar....before al-maghrib the stance of people like yasir qadhi was very different towards other groups, i think part of it maybe because they want to appeal to a wider audience so they became a bit relaxed in their views, not only to madhabis but just in general they became quite 'modern', wallahu alam

not that i think this gives the people on this forum the right to bash salafis all the time, i think a lot of it is generalising, there are different types of salafis, not all of them are anti hanafi, its mostly ignorant indo/pak ahle hadith and i think when people on the forum bash salafis they have those specific madkhali type salafis in mind
