Thank you brother for your response.

The questions I have (specifically) about Dar al-Ifta al Misriyyah are:

1) Are they Ashari/Maturidi?
2) What is their view on taqleed (of a particular madhab)?

Usually in Egyptian institutions theres always different opinions among different individuals. However I just looked up a Fatwa of Dar Al ift'a and it seems their "official" position, is that they support Ash'aree Aqeedah.

As for Taqleed, the problem with this is what is meant by it? As usually no one is really against the concept, but the disagreements are regarding the definition, to what extent etc. That being said, they do seem to lean towards supporting the idea and defending it against criticism according to a fatwa on their website. Im not sure to what extent, and how far they go with it.
