As-Salamu-Alaykum,

Could either one of you brothers reproduce the fatwa from the above link (over here)? When I clicked on the link, it just said "No Data".

Wassalamu Alaykum.
I tried to copy it but the website isnt allowing right clicks. The brother is referring to the last two paragraphs which basically say Niqab is only tradition/custom, and its ok if Hanbalis want to do in environments that consider it normal as long as its not connected to the religion of the woman. And that in Egypt, traditions are different and it doesnt fit modern times, and causes families to be scattered!

They also add that if it creates division among the ummah, or is worn as a symbol of worship or religion, it goes from being mandoob, and becomes bid'ah, an innovation.

Its another example of "strange" positions that cause conterversy.
