Jzkh, i've just had a look at the 'reviews' for it. Unfortunately they do not seem that favourable.

"Hugh Anthony" Sadly another opportunity missed. There are now three heavily edited translations of Tafsir Ibn Kathir on the market- all three intent on attempting to portray the Imam as a proto-Wahhabi by selectivley editing out hadith, sayings of Sahaba and Tabieen and even the Imam's own comments. This version is marginally better than the other two in it being easily accessible in 4 volumes, bereft on the intrusive subtitles inserted in the Darussalam version and containing some of the material taken out of that version. For example in the tafsir of 30:52 the Imam's comments that the majority of the Ulema believe that the dead do in fact hear and some of the evidence he gives for it is here (note some not all). Also this version is alot cheaper than the others.
However much of the material which shows the true Sunni nature of the Imam's tafsir has been removed for example the removal of
-the story of Utbi and the Bedouin from the tafsir of 4:64
-the narrations concerning the parents seeing their children's deeds in their graves from 9:105
-the narrations concerning the different ranks of Awliya from 2:251
and others.

However it is without a doubt the best of the three versions available at present.
