what i want to know is who records these type of videos? why would the soldiers allow themselves to be recorded and then the recordig displayed to the world when it clearly makes them look bad?
walaikom assalam brother,

I dont know its certainly stupid! But its stupid to do such things to begin with, so I guess we cant expect logic from them. I guess they take pride in it.

The second video (interview) is clearly on a French TV channel, the rest are usually spread through the Syrian opposition as the only form of contact to the outside world. Theres hundreds maybe thousands of them circulating. Like you, I wonder sometimes why in the world would they let them out? However, seeing how they tortured the child Hamza Al Khateeb may Allah have mercy on him, broke his neck, mutilated him, and pulled his nails off, and just carelessly give him to his parents that way, I think they take pride in these type of actions, and think it will scare people, and have them terrified.

Anyone who objects is labelled a salafi (as if it were an accusation) or a part of "armed groups" even though they are neither.

Just like they did when they committed the Hama massacre and wrote such statements on walls. They take pride in this.

This is probably why they do this in public, like in this following video.. a pro Bashar demonstration, one makes sujood (prostrating) to Bashars picture in front of everyone. They have no shame, no dignity, and no honor whatsoever.

Other videos are of dead people, sometimes tortured and burned to death, are taken by the families when they give the bodies back. I remember they did complain once about videos spreading, but clearly, they dont care anymore and think it shows their strength.

Its funny (not really) how Iran and Hizballah support this type of people too. But reading history of the Ubaidi (aka Fatimid) nation, Safavis, and others, and Alawis/Nusairis in particular, its just history repeating itself.
