Ive never read this series, but I think I saw the movie - aside from the vague christian imagery (you only see it if your looking for it) - what does the book say that is insulting to Muslims or Islam? salam
i've read many of the novels in the series and also read j.r.r. tolkien's "the lord of the rings". both of these series to my limited understanding did not target islam. but rather arabs and turks especially. this is evident from the way that more evil nations, who are obsessed with slavery (which is how orientalists portray our forefathers btw), are dark skinned, ride camels or elephants and wear turbans and have curved arabian style swords. in short these books are somewhat racist but not so much anti-islamic, at least it seems that way. but then again that type of attitude/sentiment would be expected in the post WWI and WWII era when these books were written.
