Ooh I read The Haj. Is was about how dumb and lazy the slovenly arabs were, and how the hardworking, straight-backed jews came in and fixed up Palestine.

Now I'm the kind of person who likes to give people the benefit of the doubt, often to absurd degrees, but that's pushing it!

Propaganda aside, the story was mediocre but alright. It'd be nice to have some muslim authors out there. Stuff like this can really color a person's perception in ways they might not even understand, especially in the formative years. A person reads this book in their teens or 20s and for the rest of their life they are staunchly pro-Israel and they don't even know why.
Exactly, we need some talented Muslim authors out there who write within the ambit of the Shariah.
