First of all, I doubt you've been thinking about this question since you were born. In fact I doubt you even knew what a Hadith was for at least the first 5 - 10 years of your life.

Second of all, the authenticity of the Quran cannot be proven through the Quran itself. Your argument is circular and a person could claim that those two verses you mentioned were themselves additions to the Quran. Rather, the authenticity of the Quran is proven through the existence of numerous chains of transmission that go all the way to Rasulullah . We know that the verses you mentioned are truly from the Quran because we have numerous people who agreed and corroborated the claim that those verses were indeed verses of the Quran, and this proves the promise of Allah that He would be the Protector of the Quran true as well (because the number of people who agreed that the Quran is indeed authentic is so large that it precludes the possibility of conspiracy).

Now here's the bonus:

The method we just used to prove the authenticity of the Quran is also the method we use to prove the authenticity of the ahadith!
