Salam Alaykum,

I wonder how someone could be 'forced' to avoid fasting. I can imagine forcibly starving a people to death, but at the most they can only 'encourage' people to avoid fasting. It would be very cost-ineffective for a country to send in military units or police to forcibly feed millions of Muslims day after day.

If there is someone is China who can tell us what the situation actually is and what 'forcing people not to fast' means, we can get a better idea of the situation.

Whether this is true or not, this matter simply shows that Islam as a religion is under constant attack from the non-Muslims. We may be more upset about fasting since it is something very obvious, but from country to country, we find Islamic beliefs and practices being forcibly removed by the current world powers, and it is imperative that we see that such is happening so that we can take appropriate action.
