Even though this is a side question, and one not very relevant to the topic at hand, but I was wondering if "Shaikh al-Islam" is a correct title for Shaikh Muhammad ibn Abdul Wahab .

I recent heard a Hanafi shaikh from LA tell me that Shah Waliullah called Shaikh AbdulWahaab 'Shaikh al-Islaam' and it you read the works of Shaikh Bakr Abu Zayd he also calls him Shaikh al-Islaam. Different people have different criteria for the title, so I don't think we should make a big deal of it one way or that other. No one can deny that Shaikh Muhammad bin AbdulWahaab made a great impact on the Muslim Ummah, May Allah reward him and bless him.
