can you give more details please about this incident. what happened? what did he say? who defended him? why did they defend him?

I hope brother Usman shall explain this. He has first hand information regarding this issue. This Mal'oon a few years back slandered Sahaba in a Shia Majlis and after that video got leaked , he publicly repented. A few "Ulema" granted him a "no objection certificate" after that and a few started attending his shows , providing him the undue legitimacy.You can watch his various programs on Youtube and see the "Ulema" who attended his show in studio.
