In the clip he seems to be a neutral commentator on the issue of Islam and contemporary issues in the beginning. In the end he seems to be explaining Muslim psychology to the modernists. I can not say with certainty that to which side he belongs in this Islam vs modernism battle. The presence of Tariq Ramadan there says it all.
