She is claiming this but this is one of the only blogs which denies it:

Nomani lies about her ancestry. She is NOT related to Allama Shibli Nomani, a renowned scholar of Islam from India. His family has confirmed this. So I am just asking if someone has direct confirmation? I know that it doesn't matter but just for research purposes...
