Well so what mother Teresa did so many good deeds why wud she not go to jannah ?
Allah says that the one who rejects the Belief destroys his deeds himself,
ََمَن يَكفُر بِالإِيمَانِ فَقَد حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ (المآئِدَه 5)
(If any one rejects faith, fruitless is his work). (5: 5)
On another place, Allah says the same thing about those who reject His verses or the Last Day,
وَالَّذِينَ كَذَّبُوا بِِئَايَاتِنَا وَلِقَآءِ الأَخِرَةِ حَبِطَت أَعمَالُهُم ۚ (الاعراف 147)
(Those who reject our verses and the Meeting in the Hereafter-vain are their deeds). (7: 147)
Iman(believing in Allah and prophet
as last prophet) = 1
Good deeds = 0
So if a Muslim got Iman His value is = 1 and If he does 100 good deeds then it makes = 1000
A muslim with good deeds got 1000 point.
Now a non muslim did 100 good deeds so for him 000. But because he didnt had Iman which is 1, all his 000 got no value.
On a check you can put 0000000 , it got no value infront of cashier. but just put a 1 infront of it, you are millionier.
If you got only 1 on the check, you are more rich than the person who got 000000 on his check.
Allah gives the reward of Non muslim the good he did, in this world. For non muslim there is nothing after their death. Mother teresa got her reward in this world.
The Prophet, sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam, said: "Allaah does not deal unjustly with a believer about a good deed as he is given blessings for it in this world and is rewarded for it in the Hereafter;
but the disbeliever is given in this life the reward for good deeds he has performed, and when he comes to the Hereafter, there is no good deed for which he can be rewarded."
[Muslim]. What does reward mean? money-car-building? No, Allah saved the person from a lot of bad thing which Allah wanted to give, but cause of the good deeds, Allah moved those away and rewarded him by leaving out the bad things which was supposed to happen with him.
If a person dies following a religion other than Islam, then Paradise will be forbidden for him, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allâh, then Allâh has forbidden Paradise to him, and the Fire will be his abode” [al-Maa’idah 5:72]
Good deeds done by a person whilst he is a kaafir will not benefit him in the Hereafter at all, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meanings):
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers” [Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]
“And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust” [al-Furqaan 25:23]
“Those who deny Our Ayaat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and the Meeting in the Hereafter (Day of Resurrection,), vain are their deeds. Are they requited with anything except what they used to do?” [al-A’raaf 7:147]
‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) a question similar to that asked here. She (may Allaah be pleased with her) said: “O Messenger of Allaah, during the Jaahiliyyah Ibn Jud’aan used to uphold the ties of kinship and feed the poor. Will that be of any avail to him?” He said, “No, that will not be of any avail to him, because he never said ‘O Lord, forgive me my sins on the Day of Judgement.’” (Narrated by Imaam Muslim – may Allaah have mercy on him) in his Saheeh, 214).
