Assalaamulaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

I have been invited to a dawut by a friend who is shia,
i am aware that we shouldn't eat their food, especially their meat (no idea why) (anyone care to explain)

i also know that their meat is 100% halal as i know who the supplier is...

is it okay if i go?
Salaam Sister

I read this post and read all the comments provided to you by different brother and sisters. It was nice laughing session for me. Tell me, did you get from all these answers , what you asked?? e.g why their meat is haram etc etc? Or did you get what Allah forbids muslims to do " La tafarraqu".

To see the difference i advice you to post this same question on any shia forum and read the answer. Here you will not find anything other than fitna.

and do not mix up with one of the example given to you by another sister regarding christian sending you pork because pork is something haram by Allah.

From sunnah i give you one example and this example implies also if you believe that shias are out of islam.

Anas, a close Companion of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) reported, "A Jewish woman brought a poisoned lamb to the Prophet, and he ate of it. When the woman was brought to him, people suggested, 'Shall we kill her?' The Prophet said, 'No.' I have recognized the effects of that poisoning in the Prophet's throat ever since." (Al-Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, Ahmad, and others).

JazakAllah

May Allah guide our muslim brothers and sisters from creating fitna out of such small questions and guide all of us for muslim unity.
