i am looking to pay my zakat soon and i received an e-mail from a local Islamic school that they are accepting zakat to fund scholarships for poor students; is this acceptable to pay zakat for that? I would like to do it...but i don't know if this is acceptable candidates for zakat...

any answers would be appreciate...
