the hadeeth says AS IF you see him. meaning you have such certainty of Allah because you are standing in front of him that you would be the most devout of worshippers and stay away from sins. if you cant do this. remember that he sees you. you are not supposed to try and picture Allah, you are supposed to worship Allah to level as if you were in front of him.

You will not be able to see Allah in this life as even musa alayhi salaam couldnt see him. this privilidge will be reserved for his slaves on the day of judgement
