If i was to read a transliteration of the computer would i need wudu ?
also if this transliteration has arabic near it, but i am not reading the arabic, would i still need wudu

and if i was to make errors reading a transliteration would it still bee a sin ?
thanks, much appreciated
Wa 'Alaykumus Salaam.

If you are reading anything on the computer, be it arabic or otherwise, you do not need to have wudhoo, in fact if you read from the actual qur'aan in printed form and you are not touching it then too you do not need wudhoo, you are only not allowed to read the qur'aan while you are in a state of janaabah (and women in haidh).

A sin is a sin regardless of how it is done, however the punishment differs in each case, if you do a sin knowingly the punishment is more than that of a sin committed unknowingly and so on.

A further point to note is that the reward for reading the qur'aan (note: the qur'aan is only arabic, nothing else) is not the same as reading transliterations and translations, the difference between them cannot be measured.
