okay. the hadith clearly states the Prophet (PBUH) made dua that the punishment of the grave becomes less for the grave dwellers for a certain time which was equivalent to drying up for branches.
He did not say i ask these branches to make tasbih for the dead by virtue of which the dead will have peace for as long as the branches do tasbih and do not dry up.
this is proof that dua should be made on graves only. this is not a proof of recital of Qur'an on graves. this is what i had found amazing that such a stretched parallel had been made
