Ain't Salawaat on Rasulullah a form of du'a anyway?

It's a specific dua, that the hadeeth mentions specifically.

Should I now go to the bathroom and before entering say.... I seek refuge in allah from all the evil and evil doers-and oh muhammad please help me?
