South Africa does have a high crime rate, the houses here are like prisons, everyone has hectic alarm systems and electric fencing etc etc. But the main thing is you have to be aware of your surrounding. Also depends on the Area you live in. There are Area's that are mainly Muslim, some are mainly Christian etc. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing, but lots of Mulims are now starting to live in the mainly non0muslim areas, the benefit of this is that more Mosques and Madressahs are opening in areas where you would expect to find a Mosques or Madressahs.

South Africa's population is mainly African, whick explains the hectic Hip Hop etc that the brother was talking about.

On the bright side, if living in a mostly Muslim area, like I do, when you walk to mosque and stuff, you are not the only person on the street walking to mosque. Whick kinda fends of criminals. I love SA, but I'm also looking at the prospect of migrating to a muslim country.
