To try to reach a broader consensus in Islamic rulings Indian Muslims have “Islamic Fiqh Aacemy (India)” where “Non-Deobandi Scholars” also come and present their point of view and its done on a National level.

Pakistan has no such forum apart from Karachi where "Deobandi Ulama" get together but in matters of Ijtehaad Pakistani Ulama quote “Islamic Fiqh Aacemy (India)” .

Colonle Sahib, I am from Chennai - south India. A year before Mufti Taqi Usmani while on tour to India visited Chennai also. There was a program for ulemas. Though I am a layman Imam of my local masjid (He is MUFTI from Deoband) asked me to join with him in the program.

At end of the program even I got a chance to have musafa with the great scholar Mufti Taqi Usmani saheb.

Never in my wild dream I could have imagined this.....
