man, this is another thing i dont like about the uk
you have to use equal force, e.g. if he has a bat, then you cannot use more than a bat (which is what i have been told)

my neighbours garden has been robbed (bikes, tools etc). and i think of my house was to get stolen from i would grab a bar and let them robbers know about it. but i am always concerned of the conciousness i would have to pay after due to the law etc
