My granny used to chew that paan (we call it "sirih") but it was going out of fashion even in her time, cuz i never saw other grannies chewing it. You guys still chewing it like a granny?

Same here with my granny and this was like 17 years ago ..... We had a paan tree in my grannys yard and we use to chew it at times for fun. It was awful though, and I never knew what the big deal about chewing it was, aside from all the old people having yellow teeth and bright red lips . lol

The paan leaf itself is not harmful but when tobacco and the other stuff is added to it it can seriously damage your health. It can cause oral cancers of the lip, tongue, mouth and pharynx and nicotine addiction.
