Assalamu Alaikum,

I was always confused about one issue here:

The Reliance says 4 days as does the Maqasid. The translator of Maqasid further expands by saying 96 hours [beginning from sunset if one arrives during the day and beginning from sunrise if one arrives during the night]

So in the following scenario........:

I reach Edinburgh on Monday at 5.00PM. Therefore, the 96 hour period starts at 9.30PM on Monday (current maghrib time)
My intention is to depart from Edinburgh at Friday 3.00PM. I had this intention before I began travelling and there are no changes to my plans throughout my stay.

.....I should be able to shorten, right (as the 96 hour period ends on Friday 9.30PM)?
