This thread reminded me...... there is a certain Shaykh, who will remain nameless, and I really like to listen to his lectures on youtube. So, one night I was looking him up to see if I could find more lectures and information, and his facebook page showed up in google, so I clicked it. I think just about every single post to his facebook page from him was about the sports he was watching. I realize Shaykh's are real people too, but quite honestly I wish I had not seen the facebook-sports-fanatic page.

There is a certain Shaykh that I had a private discussion with and I showed him the opinions of his own teachers which are at odds with his behavior.

Shaykhs are real people as well but they should lead the way in curbing desires and not succumbing to commercial'ism.
