I will be visiting a mosque later this summer. I have never been before, and am not sure exactly what to wear. I was thinking about a floor-length (loose) skirt, and borrowing a long-sleeve shirt from my sister. I am much smaller than her, so it will not be fitted like my shirts are. I will wear a hajib, but I just was curious if you think that is acceptable for me to wear. I don't want to offend anyone.
That is perfect! I don't think you should worry too much about the dress code. Though of course it is very gracious of you to make that effort out of respect and of course Muslims will appreciate it. However, most Muslims wouldn't be offended if you visited a Mosque with your normal clothing (as long as your neckline wasn't too low). Personally I'd much rather you visit the mosque in clothing that you feel most comfortable in
